Creating a template for word

    Has anyone had experience of creating a template for word? I want to place image boxes on a page for a company document. This is so that people could add contextual images depending on the report (it's for internal use only). The image boxes would always be in the same place on the page.

    I'm wondering if I can set it so the image will automatically not stretch and the boxes will be locked in place.

    I hate Word.

    There's no magical template or anything like what you're asking (that I know of). The best thing I can suggest is to create a table, and have folks drop the picture into the table. Unfortunately, they're going to have to size the picture manually, as Word likes to import pictures at around 60%-70% of their original size.

    That doesn't really help you, does it?

    Yeah, it's a headache! Someone suggested using a feature in Word 2008 – master pages. Great I thought, until I figured that the company will be running different versions of Word on PC and Mac. Although they have a centralised IT dept. they have so many employees that many take care of there own machines and what goes on them.
