I've heard that its a good idea to create a standard user account to be used as the primary everyday use account rather than use the admin account as a your sole accout. Are there advantages to doing this. Is is wise/necessary?

Thanks.

Using a standard account vs admin gives you an extra level of security because a standard account has less privileges and any malicious item on your machine while you're using your standard account would only be able to compromise what you can.
