Creating and FTP on os x

Hey people.

I have searched my question but no luck..

I want to create an ftp on my mac.. just so i can share a folder with a friend really.

i have looked at some ftp clients and they are ok for connection to an ftp but not creating..

has anyone got any idea how i can do this or give me an alternative to sharing this folder on my mac..

In your System Preferences, Sharing, File Sharing click on the Options button; you can choose to share using ftp although its not encrypted.
