Hi Guys,

I've been trying to make a bootable ubuntu 10.10 iso, and I've found its impossible using the horribly made disk utility :p. When I attempt to restore the .iso file to a usb drive, the "Restore" button is grayed out, so I'm unable to restore it..

Hope someone can help, I made a screencast of it : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hHio7wIilg

I don't know what I am doing wrong, if you guys could help that would be great :]

Your mistake is that you don't restore from a volume to a volume, you restore from an image... as in the image file. Don't mount the image, and just drag the image (.dmg/.iso) file to the same field. And it is a poor workman that blames his tools for his problems.

I've already tried that, I get an error "Could not validate source"

Well I checked on the ubuntu website, looks like it cannot be done on Mac OS with disk utility, so much for it being a good "tool" :p.. Apple's really good do something about disk utility, This isn't the first time I've had an issue with the restoring to usb
