After spending two days of trial and error I still do not have a solution to the following... If anyone can offer suggestions for the best workflow it could save my job! Thanks in advance.

Scenario:

Creating presentation in Keynote to be published and burned in iDVD.

1. In Keynote creating slides that include: text, jpeg files, QT movies, audio clips, Keynote transitions and behaviors.

2. Recording voice-over throughout entire presentation on slideshow track.

3. Exported to QuickTime > Saved As QT movie > (QUALITY POOR)

4. Exported QT movie to Garageband to edit audio track. Audio plays from embedded .mov files but does not play slideshow audio track I recorded.

I want to edit and add background tracks in GB then export to iDVD. Is this the best approach?

Many thanks!

I cant help you with all of this, but certainly a way to get better video quality is to use the 'export to iDVD' menu option. For some reason the transitions are much smooother when you do this. The movie file will be saved to your Movies folder, you can just go in there and grab it.
