hi there, need some help pls..... when creating a folder on the desktop (Macbook Air), it creates it, but inside there are all the files contained in all the other folders..... and checking the folders i have, they all have the same files?! why is not creating an empty folder?

I don’t think so. This is how I do it ..

It sounds like you are creating a shortcut? Not a folder. However, the image shows you are doing it correctly. Try creating the folder and opening it through the file manager, going to desktop and then opening it there instead of just clicking the desktop.

hello aangvento i created the folder using Finder, File, New Folder and it works, meaning, folder is empty.

I am glad I helped! But you should be able to create folders directly from the desktop. It is likely a bug that should be corrected int he next patch. Hope they get it fixed soon for ya!
 
Another way to create a new folder on the desktop:
Click on the desktop to bring finder "to the front", then...
Hold down the command and shift keys together, then type "n".
New, empty folder created, just type the name you want and hit return.

Thank you. I think I had some sort of bug as now I checked all folders and they are ok. ?!
