I used to be able to create m4a files on my g5 with OS10.3.9. There were different formats (besides mp3) that could be chosen in the "advanced" menu of iTunes "preferences". I don't see that option in my iMac OS 10.5.6.
Can this be still be done?
I understand that m4a is a better quality file that also takes up a bit less space than mp3.
Thanks

creating m4a files

Thanks so much. It's great when the solution is simple.
I wonder why I couldn't find ".m4a" when I ran an iTunes "help" search.
