I was just wondering if there was:

a). A way to create mailbox folders other than inbox, drafts, sent and trash easily on the iPhone (and I've just been too thick to figure it out).

b). A workaround that doesn't involve hacking with a complex program that will inevitably brick my phone.

Any advice or tips would be great!

I think the answer is "No", or maybe "Not yet". Sorry folks.

I don't imagine that Apple figured on people keeping emails on the iPhone; instead, they'd just read and delete like we do with BlackBerries. Of course, this didn't figure on people like my wife who now rarely go to their desktops because the email and internet is now in their pocket. Another example of the iPhone being a victim of its own success.

There actually is a way you can get mailboxes added to your gmail account, someone at work showed me the following link:

Basically, mailboxes don't work with the standard setup and you need to re-add your email client via an IMAP instead of a POP3. I did this and it has worked great.

    Hope this helps
