Creating multiple rar/zip files

Hello, looking for solution how to create rar or zip files on MAC.

I have folder (5GB) and I need to split folder to 1GB files.
For example:
folder.r01
folder.r02
etc..

Is there any way to do that please?

You can do what you want using Keka (free), here:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/keka/

You can select a pre-determined size or enter your own. Just drop files or folders onto the app.
