    Hi all,

I have a few calendars set up on my iPhone. I have Personal, Birthdays, Travel, and Holidays. I also have my exchange calendar. I'm finding it really annoying that if I create a new event on my calendar, I have zero control over which calendar it gets assigned to. Also, I can't change colors either. It has my entourage calendar the same color as my personal calendar, so i can't determine at a glance the difference between those appointments. Am I missing some setting someplace? Or are others having this issue?

I believe colors are only synced correctly if you have MobileMe service, other wise it just uses default colors in a particular order. You might have to give in and just color your calendars to match what the phone does to avoid confusion.

Also, you should be able to change which calendar when you create an event. When i create an event i have "title/location", "stars/ends", "repeat", "alert", "calendar", then notes. You can also set the default calendar in settings under mail/contacts/calendars section.

Okay looks like you're right about the colors. Whatever I make the color in iCal, it shows up the same on my iPhone. That's fair.

However, seems like there's no way to have my Exchange calendar anything but red.

Also, when I create a calendar event, mine is different than yours. I have title/location, starts/ends, repeat, invitees, alert, availability, and notes. I've created some events, and it's clear that these just go automatically on my exchange calendar. Stinks because I like to keep personal / work separate, and this means I can't create personal events on my iPhone. Between the issue just mentioned and this other issue I posted here, I'm pretty unhappy with the iPhone's calendaring. They really should be able to fix this, though! I just hope they do.
