I have a 2020 i7 iMac, and for the past couple of weeks, I've been trying to install Adobe Creative Cloud (Version 5.9, which Adobe recommends) without success. The app goes through the install process, then shuts down. My Creative Cloud apps work well enough, but I rely on the actual CC app to keep abreast of updates.

Other than wait for another OS update to fix the problem, does anyone have any idea what else I can try? Adobe says 5.9 is working well enough with Ventura, but my experience proves otherwise. Perhaps they've relegated the actual CC app to the dustbin and don't think it important enough to test or support.

Thanks in advance!

I would suggest turning off any third-party utilities or apps that run in the background, then try again. If that doesn't work, try creating a new user account on your Mac and installing it there (if it works, then it's definitely a conflict with something you're running in your main user account).

It's difficult to diagnose these type of things until you're able to narrow down the possibilities first.

The problem has something to do with your computer specifically, as millions of people are running the latest CC App with no problem. I'm running 5.9 under Ventura (see screenshot below) with no issue at all. The CC app is the portal to a lot of different services Adobe offers, so it probably isn't heading to the dust bin anytime soon.

sometimes the creative cloud app gets corrupted or just doesn't update and you have to delete it and reinstall it. it won't affect the rest of your programs.

Uninstalling didn't work for me, but I used the uninstall app's repair function, got the app to download and load, and now it seems to be working. I didn't know the uninstall app had that functionality, so thanks!
