Hey all!

Ordered iPhone XS Max 128 GB Space Grey last night as I do every two years and though everything was great! Got the 9/21 shipping date and all was good. Got up this morning and realized the card had been declined. Called Chase, got it squared away, but they said the order would not go through. However, Apple.com and the Apple Store App had Order in Process and now Processing. Is this order going to fall off? Should I start over? Please help! This has never happened before.

If you go into your order page, do they gave you an option to change your payment option? I checked my order page and one of the order has the awaiting payment status so I changed my payment method and it went through. I don't think you need to start over. You can also contact Apple and do it that way too.

Thanks so much for that feedback. Initially when I ordered at 2:01, the card was declined because I had an old card; I think entered my main credit card in and it went through. The decline message from Chase came about 4:45 AM, so I was back in bed. I've tried to contact Apple, but of course, you can't get a person today, which I understand. It looks like it is totally fine, but the Chase rep told me there is no way this order will go through. He said they won't automatically try to hit the card again. :(

It also looks like the Chat option is also closed for today. I wouldn't worry to much about loosing your place here. They do hold that spot for you and as long as you get this resolved before they actually process your payment and ship, you should be fine and set for 9/21/18 delivery.
 
This is what I'm still seeing right now, hours after the card was declined. Should I still be worried and order again? Thoughts?

When my card got declined a few years back I received an email after they tried a few times stating to click a link to update my payment method by X date and time or the order would be canceled.

I didn't get an e-mail but I checked my order page on my desktop and had the message "Awaiting payment info" so I clicked on it and I had the blue button where I click and updated my payment info. I returned my iPhone X could days ago and apparently didn't have the funds come back in time and didn't realize that they placed an temp auth, so thus I got that message. Pre-order did go through tho. But I changed the payment method so all is good for me.

I see that exact same picture on Apple.com under Orders. Maybe I will get my phone next Friday? I hope because we leave for Family Weekend at Mizzou to see my daughter on Friday night and would sure love to have it!

If you see the same exact as shown above, then it looks like it's going to go through.
