My family is looking at switching over to t-mobile. My sister currently has an iPhone 5c on Cricket. I checked her iPhone's IMEI on t-mobile's site and I got a "We do not recognize the IMEI number you entered" error. After some searching I found the iPhone 5 from cricket is locked to Cricket. I haven't found ANY information for the iPhone 5c. Will it work?

5c is compatible with T-Mobile, but you need to know whether it is unlocked or not, which is different and unique for every phone.

I don't think cricket will unlock it. If they don't then just sell it and get one that works on the network you want.
