Critique a Car I drew in illustrator

instead of starting a new thread, I'll post what I think is the finished poster.

I like the car and advert.. but not really the slogan. Fesh air feeling good, doesn't really make sense. Should you really be trying to sell a civic based on how good it "feels"? They're nice cars but they're kind of cramped and not comfortable.

Oh.. and I think the honda logo and text should be white... not orange. I dunno, might be too bland but... I don't care for the color orange.

Nice job on the drawing.
I think the wheels(rims) might benefit from some subtle metallic highlights to offset the darker reflections.
 
i agree on the too many colors comment...don't really like the green on the blue...other than that the drawing is awesome...the bottom part of the front of the car looks a little weird...like its pointing down...i would "lift" that maybe just a little bit
 
If you were to work on the edging of the interior parts you could make that look much better.

Also agree with the title color post. It doesn't work for me! More thought into chosen colors is necessary!
 
I don't mind the multi-coloured title at all. However, I think if you were to eliminate a colour, orange would be the one to get rid of. Keep yellow and green. :)

The US civic looks like a normal, aggressively styled coupe.

Don't forget boring and bland looking.

The Euro version looks cooler. The US Civic is nice, but in a very "safe" way.

I have no idea how you did it but you managed to stylise a Lambo. They've all looked like concept cars to me, although the Countach/ Diablo just look like someone had fun with a ruler.:p
 
I really like the car - but I have to agree with those who says that the poster should have white text, I would also move the car and the "star" in the background further down on the poster.
 
Very nice with the poster and drawing! It looks really good.

I have to agree though with the multi-colored titles. Keep the logo and words the same color. Also, I dislike the color orange.
 
Nice illustration, although I think they'd probably go for a bit more a dynamic angle rather than side on.

Photos of cars in adverts use a technique called shatftlining where they somewhat artificially 'buff up' the paintwork to emphasise reflections. It's also a useful technique for selling your own car - make it look shinier than the competition in magazine classifieds :)

By the way, the European Civic looks miles better (and not being American, can go round corners!)
 
Looks like something from a Hed Kandi album - thumbs up! Can't really fault it, though I do think the less sharp appearence of the low-res version fits the image better. Perhaps when you need to; rasterise it at a high resolution and shrink it down for a smoother look.
 
I think it's pretty good. It looks like there's an indentation int he roofline about halfway back near the B pillar, looks odd to me. Also an accent line that runs from the rear fender straight throught the highligh from the rear wheel well...shouldn't that line be defelected by the curvature of the well hump? Overall nice job though, I suck at drawing realistic-looking things in Illustrator and I wish I was better at it.
