This is my first real ipod that I will be using cross platform (for a portable storage drive). I want to sync with my mac but keep the FAT file system for PC compatibility.
I read that when you first dock an ipod now on a mac it says "automatically optimizing for Mac, etc etc." My question is does it ask you first or not? What is the best way to make a mac the primary sync device but leave the FAT file system so I can attach it to my pc's as a data drive?
