I've purchased two Buffalo Linkstation Quads for use as network attached backup devices for a scientific lab.
I haven't set them up yet because I've run into a problem-- HOW should I format these drives so that BOTH Macs and PCs can connect to them easily with both read and write access?
MacDrive doesn't work with networked drives.
What other options do I have? Should I format as FAT32? None of the files being stored are so large as to bump up against any file size limits.
Ease of access is the most important thing here. Any advice?
