Crossover mic help!

Hi,

ive been trying to set up my mic on steam using crossover games but everytime i go into settings>voice it says CoreAudio mixer where it should have my mic. if i select change device i get a message saying "windows audio controlpanel is now open. hit ok when your finished changing settings.

i can go to system preferences>sound and it will work, but i still get the problem on steam.
