I got a new Apple Watch yesterday. I'm noticing that the crown is not clicking. In other words I push it in and there is no click back. This seems to be defective to me. Should Apple replace the watch?

Sometimes when pushing in the digital crown, there's different inconsistencies where the button will have an audible click and other times it won't have a click. Every digital crown is different on every Apple Watch. There is a seal that is embedded behind the digital crown, and if the digital crown is sticking, then it shouldn't be doing that.

No Crown click for me and I like it that way. Why do you want to hear a "Click"?

Dave

I'm not talking about hearing a click but feeling it. Similar to the click I fee when I press the button below the crown.

Right, but you won't be able to feel every click with every Apple Watch Digital Crown. Because they have different consistencies with the manufacturing. I have multiple Apple Watches, where some of the Digital Crowns have an audible click and others do not.

I took it to Apple for a Genius Bar appointment. They took 1 look at it and promptly replaced it.

I've never had a crown click, but I can live without it.

The Apple Watch digital crown and how it rotates and pushes in, will have the most inconsistency across all Apple Watches. It's just manufactured slightly different for every single watch. Some digital crowns are more stiff to rotate, other digital crowns have an audible click and others do not. I own multiple Apple Watches and they are all different.
