CRT Nightmare

I am writing to express my heartfelt grief over our family's experience with CRT lenses. Our 12 year old daughter spent the last 11 months following all of the CRT instructions and directions with precision only to have the product not work for her. It's been a devastating experience and one that I would never want anyone to endure. The Optometry Doctor and staff were very kind and encouraging and enthusiastic. We very much believed that the lenses were going to work and that's why we soldiered on through the process. After countless hours spent driving to and from the Optometry office, thousands of dollars spent on the CRT lens fees and fuel, and most importantly a child who suffered with fluctuating vision and discomfort for almost 1 year, she is right back to where we started with soft lenses. All we have to show for it is a big financial loss and time we can never get back. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Hello, I just wanted to add my input on CRT lenses and registered to do so. I have been using CRT lenses for over 5 years and my brother also has been using CRT lenses for over 3 years. My vision was around -2.5 when I started and my brothers was probably near -1.25. My eye doctor offers them for around $250 a lens and then an annual cleaning for $100 a lens or something like that. Not exactly sure on the prices, but I'm pretty close. Anyways CRT lenses have been fantastic for me. As a student and athlete I never have to worry about anything being in my eyes during the day. Within a week of wearing CRT lenses my vision was great. Only problem I experienced was initial pain with these lenses since they are RIGID gas permeable (ie hard). This was countered with a numbing solution my optometrist prescribed to me. Also, probably the first year I wore these, a few times the lens went into the corner of my eye. This was quite painful when I had to remove the lenses in the morning and even left an indent one time which was extremely painful for a day or so. For me, the lenses correct my vision to near 20/20, although some days my vision is worse and once in a while it is SUPERB. My vision though is definitely corrected with these lenses. I must wear them everyday or else my vision starts to get bad quickly, but my brother can go a couple days without wearing them before he sees his vision get worse. Overall I've had a great experience with CRT lenses as has my brother. Don't think I'll be on these forums again, but maybe if I remember I'll be here so if someone has a question feel free to ask.
