Not everything Amazon sells is actually sold directly by Amazon. Just make sure it's clearly labeled "sold by Amazon" and not "sold by Gus's Electonics Xtravaganza."
 
Bought my m4 on amazon brand new about 4 months ago and have no issues with the drive. It's the best upgrade you can do along with ram to a computer.
