This is a great deal and the lowest price I've ever seen on this SSD. I bought it last fall for $349 on Amazon, and that was a steal back then.

Anyone interested in deals like this should check out 9to5toys. They posted this deal first thing this morning.

I just installed one today, and I am very impressed with it's speed. So far so good. From all the threads I have read about this drive and the rating at Amazon, I would say it has a great reputation.

the m4 seems like a great drive with great reviews. it has decent performance too but i think i read somewhere that the new samsung is considerably faster. however i dont know if the extra speed is worth the premium they are asking for it compared to the m4.

$1/GB is generally considered a sign that SSD costs are on the verge of becoming affordable for us mere mortals. I paid $700 for a 500gb Crucial 4 months ago. It's now $640. Not quite at fire sale prices just yet but it's progress. Just a short time ago it seemed SSD prices would never budge.

It still amazes me that solid state memory is THIS cheap. Think about it, 256GB for $290. I remember when 32MB cards were $100
