Thanks for posting this. I just picked one up yesterday for my 2011 MBP. Decided to guinea pig myself for the community... Seeing how there are a number of problem-free installs w/ the c300, I'm HOPING there won't be any issues with it.
 
I hope it works well and that the installation is problem free. Let us know how it goes. It should be a huge performance increase. Which MBP do you have and what size drive did you get?

I have the 2011 15" 2.2 w/ HR AG. I got the 512GB one which will replace the Apple 500GB HD.

I too got tired of waiting for other brands to be released. Anyway, I will definitely report back once I get some time with it.

let me know how it goes because im just about done waiting and about pull the trigger on a 128gb m4/c400 :D
 
Where are you purchasing from?

I only glanced at the review but whats with the 22 MB/s Random 4k read? Is that not extremely low??:confused:
 
Was thinking about pulling the trigger on the c400 as well. All the reviews I'v read praise the drive and rate the performance on par with the vertex 3. Kappanight I assume you ordered from superbiiz.com, has the drive shipped yet or been given an estimated delivery date?
 
Are they the same drives the images look different the ones for sale say Micron , the review is Crucial???

Micron is a parent company to Crucial, their one in the same. Crucial will be launching the same drive under the new title "Crucial M4" while Micron is going with C400. Don't really understand why their going this route when it will just confuse consumers.

well I ordered it in a 256gb form. Keep you all posted. Worst case I will return it. I just can't wait any longer. If its faster than my OWC 200gb Pro Sata II drive than I will be happy. Hope it smokes it actually

Yep! Got it from Superbiiz.com - mine shipped today. Will get it in 3 to 5 days I think.
 
Is this right?

Performance:

- Sequential Read Rate: 415 MB/s (max)
- Sequential Write Rate: 260 MB/s (max)
- Random 4k Read: 40,000 IOPS
- Random 4k Write: 50,000 IOPS

How come the write IOPS is more than the read IOPS?
 
Did this drive just come out? Wonder if it will have all the problems the 510 has... :confused:

guess we will know in 3-5 days when our first members get theirs. these drives just started shipping a few days ago so until then just sit tight.

I ordered the 256 gb unit last night expedited . Hopefully I will have mine by Monday latest. Obviously I will update . Looking good so far, speeds look good . Hopefully it will install without issues.

Kappanight obviously I am watching YOU. LOL

Hah. Won't get mine till next Wednesday it seems. Unless UPS wants to surprise me. =)
