I just put mine to sleep (closed lid, waited for led to flash slowly) as soon as I opened the lid I could move the mouse.

It was only sleeping for a few seconds and not sure if that has anything to do with it.

How can you never see a login screen. It's supposed to wait for you to uh... log in. 😕

lol, am using a firmware password login, so...once i get past that, i go straight to the desktop.

on my late-2008 macbook, i'd see the login screen BEFORE the desktop.

I hate the 5 seconds it takes for my Login screen to appear. 😀
