Dude you'd be retarded to buy the 16 gig kit that contains two 8 gigs when you can get two 8 gigs individually for 40 bucks less. BTW I ordered those exact ones yesterday when the 8 gig sticks were 44.99. Do NOT buy any of it now, check in once a day the next week and let the price drop again bud. ;)

But yes, it will work perfectly for ya. There's another reviewer here and that ram actually will be a bit faster than the stock apple ram. Great choice, just wait.

Thank you.

And the one from B&H photo is only $88 for the 16 GB kit so that'd be cheaper than 2 8 GB sticks from Amazon.

Why don't you get the 2133 speed Balistix or HyperX? It will run at the faster speeds. Only a little bit more expensive.

Well I'm only looking to make an addition to my 8 GB of stock RAM, and from what I've heard it'll only run at the slowest speed of RAM in the computer.

I've heard if you mix the stock memory with other 1866 MHz memory, the final speed could be even lower (e.g., 1600 MHz). This depends on the CAS Latency of the added memory.
Does anyone know if the Ballistix work with the stock memory at 1866MHz?

This is the upgrade I bought, but it was only $88 when I bought it:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JCRZ6XS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00

Took me all of 3 minutes to install it alongside the stock 2x4GB chips from Apple. Now I have 24GB running at the stock 1867 Mhz speed. I had no need for faster RAM, especially since I mixed it with Apple's RAM.
Yeah, this is a good choice for mixing with Apple RAM. I originally ordered this RAM, but it was backordered, so I canceled and ordered this instead. Unfortunately the RAM I got has lower CAS latency (CL11), which forces everything to drop to 1600 MHz when paired with the Apple RAM. Maybe should have stuck with the Crucial CL13 like you.
