Crucial SSD

Hi

Just wondering what you fine people thought of this SSD??? Or if you have any better ideas for an SSD which will work within my 08' macbook. I am willing to pay up to £150.00.

I am totally up for suggestions!

Crucial SSDs don't work well with Macs. I recommend you to get either Intel or OCZ. Here and here

I just purchased the OCZ, not bad for £150. Should arrive tommorrow.

Anything I need to know when using it for the first time? Or any tips?

The setup is as simple as can be, just make sure you have a torx screwdriver so that you can get the screws off of the current hard drive and onto your new one.

Frequent the OCZ forum which is very helpful generally and will let you know about firmware updates and all that. My Vertex worked great for me most of the time so hopefully you have an equally pleasant experience.

I know how to upgrade the hard drive I have done it before on my macbook, its 'simples'. I meant more anything you have to do differently then treating it as a normal 'spinning' hard drive.
