I have just being looking at the file saving details in CS3 ( because a image wouldn't open with windows gallery). So i opened a Photo and clicked ' Save As ', the dialog box appears, I am saving as a TIF. file. Then you have the choices of compression, pixel order etc. I noticed a option called 'Byte Order', and you can choose either IBM PC or Macintosh. I have no idea what this means, would it affect my photos when displayed on a Mac which i will be getting in a little while. All my Photo's As far as I am aware are saved as Byte Type IBM PC.

Anybody know what this means exactly and what its for.

although I don't really know what this means, at the studio where I work (on Macs) we always save tiffs with the IBM PC byte order option checked. my understanding is that both Macs and PCs can read the IBM PC option. I'm not sure if it works the other way around. I would stick with IBM PC. anyone else know any better?
