CS3 phtoshop pasting issue

I am having a problem with pasting photos into photoshop cs3, i can open them separately from the the file i want to paste them onto but not directly on to the image i am already editting, it just pastes as a white square

Oh, can't see what the problem is then. Sorry. Should work fine.

Open the two documents side by side and drag it across.
