CS3 Upgrade Problem on Snow Leopard

Hi all, I am trying to install my CS3 on a new Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard 10.6.4. THe original dvd install goes on ok and runs, but if I go to upgrade to the latest updates it hangs about 90% of the way through the upgrade.

It would appear to be common enough for some, has anyone overcome it recently with 10.6.4?

Hm... the updates for CS3 did work for me on 10.6.3.

Never used 10.6.4 with CS3, since I don't have a Mac anymore.

Aha, interesting, I think the problem is 10.6.4 then, can I downgrade my OS to do the install? or are there any other opinions?

Did you read this? There were some fixes for CS3 in 10.6.4...

But this doesn't help you much.

You cannot downgrade your system.
You need either to reformat/reinstall or achive/install to have 10.6.3 or older.

Actually you could download all these updates manually from the Adobe website and install them one after one...
