Hey guys I'm looking to restore my iPhone from scratch, no backed up data or anything. Fresh reinstall for my apps, no old cache, and everything virtualy brand new.

However some things I do want to manually back up.

Contacts
SMS
and Maybe my Navigon history

I am willing to give up on the last 2 if nothing can be done, however my contacts are a must.

I've been searching around and I did find a method (sorta) I was able to export them as a CSV file, so YAY backed up contacts.

now the problem... I have no idea how to import those files back once I am done other than manualy (which I'd rather pass on)

if anyone has any insight or can help that'd be great =)

using: Windows 7, iPhone 3GS.

If you have gmail....you can import the csv file to contacts. Then either use gmail as your contacts or set it up an exchange account.
