Yeah...

Does it strike anyone else as absolutely HILARIOUS that someone is desperately searching for a way to reset Windows on a Mac?

You'd think people would just realize windows ain't worth it...

You know that ctrl-alt-del is the key sequence to bring up the login window when you first start many versions of Windows, right?

yes..

Yes, but it's better known as the "oh ****, windows froze key combo."

I was making a poorly thought out joke, I suppose.

Thanks fekchn, but ctrl-alt-del THEN fn didn't quite work for me.

Instead, press and hold down the CTRL and ALT modifiers, then FN followed by DEL. So the FN-DEL is behaving as a delete key, rather than backspace.

This is on my MacBook Pro's keyboard, connected to a Windows XP system using RDC.

ctrl-alt-del?

You actually have another option. Windows comes with an onscreen keyboard as an accessibility option. You can open the onscreen keyboard and perform your ctrl-alt-del.

It's available through Start > All Programs > Accessories > Accessibility

ctrl-alt-del in BootCamp

If you need to do Ctrl-Alt-Del on a MacBook running BookCamp and Windows 7, click the little Easy of Access icon in the lower left of the screen. Then, check “Type without the keyboard”. A keyboard will appear on the screen. Click Ctrl Alt Del.

ctrl alt del in parallels

I'm running XP on my mac with parallels 6.

With a mac keyboard:

command + option + control + fn + delete

That sequence is the same as ctrl alt del
