Alright guys. I ran a search, on here and google, but have to ask the question (as the google answer was confusing as hell)... what are .bin and .cue files. I know this is obvious so for most of you but I'm in the dark.

Also, If I have a file, and it's split into both .bin and .cue files, can I merge them, erase 1, or what?

    Thanks in advance.

It's a CD image pair. Toast can record them to CD.

the bin file is the data, the cue file is basically an instruction file to burn the bin correctly. you cannot and do not need to merge them. just select the cue file with your burning program and it will do the rest.

its a disk image file, you can burn it to a disk with "simplyburns" (freeware)

if its a movie file, VLC can play it directly w/o burning to disk.
