I keep seeing things like "My first Mac will be...", and "when I get a Mac", and "I'll be leaving Windows...". The odd thing is that a lot of these posts are from regulars (100+ posts).

So I'm kind of interested in hearing:
Why you frequent a Mac board?
What is the biggest thing holding you back from owning?
Did you have a Mac in the past?

You can, of course, hide the fact that you're a PC user, and just vote in the poll.

The reason I started this was to find out more about the large number of people here who post a lot, but don't own a Mac. Why do they have 100+ posts at a Mac rumors forum, when they don't have a Mac?

Not that I don't want them to feel welcome, but because I'm interested in their motivation. Are they here because they are thinking of switching, interested in the platform, lurkers, trolls, former Mac users, Mac envy, etc...

Outside of that, everyone's contributions are welcome.

Here in NJ I type on my 0.5GHz Cube. In Maine I type on the 233 iMac.

I need the G4 as my main computer, since I do a lot of audio editing, which requires the G4. If I plan to get another computer, I would get a Ti500. Then I would wait several years, before I upgrade my computer to a G5 or some such.

    my stuff

I normaly post from my Dell Laptop. Unfortunatly that what was given to me at work. Apples are not an option. I sometimes do post from a RedHat server or one of the many Sun Solaris Boxes. It's kind of fun to post from a 12 CPU server :) I do post from Home from My main mac but not as much as I do durrning lunch or breaks at work. Macrumors gets the most hits durring that time.

I use both Mac and PC. However, my mac keyboard died today so I have to get a new one and I'm posting with my PC. I run quite a few PC's 5. I have 2 Macs, but I'm looking to buy two new ones. Just waiting to see if Apple will actually introduce new ones.
