Hello all, I'm a long-time listener, first time caller.

I loaded XP last night and all is gravy, except for one curious behavior. I changed th icon of my windows disk volume in Mac OS X, and renamed it. Whenever I run XP and come back to OS X, the icon reverts to the stock Macintosh HD icon and the name of the drive is in all caps.

Any ideas how to fix this, or is it a queertron of the windows world?

Since you were able to change this information from OS X, I'll assume that you formatted FAT32.

If so, first change the volume name from inside If you give it the same name as before, your icon should automagically appear once you boot back into OS X. If not, give it an icon and the changes should now persist.

Good Luck!
