Even a guy who restores Xerox Altos can foul up an apple repair.


 
I generally don't watch YT clips, but just judging from the initial frame: Who does that kind of work with the computer plugged in and turned on!?

the original repair was power supply and hard disk drive replacement. That was performed with the power off.
then he tests the machine before gluing the screen on-- and discovers that the screen has a fault-- a vertical stripe running down the screen. He then thinks that the connector has been dislodged...

that's him wiggling the display connector.
