Current 200mb users: will you upgrade to 2gb plan?

I'm currently on the 200mb plan for $15. My company's fan discount lowers the 2gb plan to $21.75. Given that the new 300mb plan costs $20 and 3gb costs $30, I'm debating whether to upgrade or stick to 200mb to minimize costs.

200mb I have to watch my usage, and 2gb will be more than enough for me. 300mb is more, but given that the 2gb is only $1.75 for 7x the data, seems more reasonable to change the plan to 2gb now before it's too late.. but i've never gone over 200mb so upgrading is just in case that future usage increases.

No brainer, upgrade to the 2GB. And even if you went over that it's 10 dollars per gig, which will put you just over 30.

With the 200MB plan, I believe it's 15 dollars more per 200MB in overages? Ouch!

$20 (after 20%FAN) for 2GB vs. $20/300MB (likely unelgible for FAN) on the new plan.

Massive price hike rappage coming from ATT. Gotta make up the merger penalty Obama's administration forced on them.

Rofl. The ITC and the Judicial system have nothing to do with Obama. Yes, he may have opposed it, but that's just his opinion, not his policy.

So perhaps I was wrong. Although Obama may have reappointed some Commissioners, they influence his opinion, not the other way around.

It's all political bull either way.

I am grandfathered, on Verizon, to an unlimited data plan. My usage never goes above 1Gb. But, I always crush the 200mb ceiling.

I am not you, but I would upgrade.
 
I have the 200MB plan and have never gone above 100MB of usage even with an iPhone 4S. I have wifi just about everywhere I go so it's just another reason for AT&T to bill me more. It's pure greed.
 
Just upgraded my wife's iPhone 4 to the 2GB plan from the 200mb plan.
I didn't realize my FAN discount didn't apply to the 200mb plan. For the
extra $5 ($25 - 20% FAN discount) she now has 2gb and can now stream her Pandora! She's pretty happy and in this case was worth $5 extra.
 
Okay, talk me through this. We have a family plan. I have the 4GB mobile hotspot. My husband has the 200mb with the FAN discount. What would the cost difference be for us for the "new" 2GB or "new" 300mb plans compared to his current 200mb plan?

I haven't followed this discussion much, so any help would be appreciated.
 
OP I have a question does your fan discount for data for $21.50 show up under the features section of your page?

I'm pretty sure I'm suppose to get this discount but it just shows it at $25.

The dataplus plans (200, soon to be 300mb) don't have a FAN discount.

The discount shows up in the discounts section of your bill.
It will show you your FAN discount, also it's on the web login
for AT&T wireless.

I didn't say Obama, I said 'Obama Administration'. These are his men, all part of his administration and cabinet.

Current $25/2GB plan, FAN knocks down to $20.

New $20/300MB plan, unknown if FAN applies, unlikely.

You guys need family shared data plan. Why is ATT still dragging on this =(

Awesome. THANKS! and yes, we could totally both live on my 4GB. I use about 400mb in reality, but need tethering.

How is this any different they any other anti-monopoly action?
You pointing out Obama Admin suggest something is different.

What is "FAN"??
 
I won't. My average usage the past 8 months has been under 200mb per month without me trying to manage it. But, I have Wifi at home & school, so...

Its not different, but they still did it, and it's still immoral. Two consenting private property holders should have right, the freedom to buy/sell their property as they see fit. Whether its your own creation of goods, house, car, or corporate assets.

Wait is this just for any FAN? Or just company? I have a FAN discount through university, not sure if that would knock the 25 down to 20 bucks for 2gigs...
