Well I finally pulled the trigger and upgraded. Went with the Galaxy SIV from the iPhone 5. I'm sure I'll have a few questions over the next couple of weeks, but the first is related to my current pics.

How can I get JUST my current camera roll to the new device?

I've backed up all my pics in iPhoto and even to Dropbox, but without "cherry picking" each pic, I'm not sure how to accomplish what I'm needing to do.

Thanks

Though Preview is usually thought of as an image viewer, it can also serve as a fast importer:

Plug your iPhone into your Mac
Launch Preview
From the File menu navigate down and select “Import from iPhone…”
Select “Import All” to get all the pictures, otherwise individually select pictures and click ‘Import’
Look in your ~/Pictures/ folder for the photos from your iPhone

On e you have photos on your Mac, it is a piece of cake to get it onto your S4. Either use a micro SD card or an app like Airdroid. Airdroid works with any computer and wirelessly transfers anything you want from your S4 to PC or PC to S4. Best program ever! I just moved 30 mp3's from my PC to my music folder on my S3. Took about 45 seconds. Faster WiFi will speed up the process.

Thanks. I'll try that tomorrow once it arrives.

I'm not sure how it works exactly on an S4 but on previous Android devices I do this.

1. Plug iPhone into Android phone.

2. "Select all"

3. "Import"

Android should pick the iPhone up as a camera more or less. So importing photos is just as easy.

This will require a female USB to male micro USB connector. I recommend every android user have one for cameras, game controllers, keyboards, mice, etc etc.

You can get nice ones for 5 bucks or cheap ones for less then 1 dollar on Amazon.
