The iPod Classic would be some sort of $500 collectors item that would no doubt sell out in a day. What’s the use case? Not that many tweens are listening to music that regularly who don’t already have phones. iPod Classics aren’t a form factor great for video either, you can’t play games on one.
What parent is going to spend money on a high capacity iPod classic (when there kid streams everything anyway) when they could get them a cheap tablet or even a carrier subsidized iPhone for less?
This comes down to dimensions. An old, say iPhone XR is just far too big for the hands of an 8 year old.Just use your old iPhone as an "iPod touch" - parents just don't buy a data plan and it's exactly the same except with better hardware.
Me too but it'll never happen.i want the real classic ipod back the one with the click wheel!
Kids younger than 8 use iPads. This comes down to dimensions. An old, say iPhone XR is just far too big for the hands of an 8 year old.
But an iPad is the size of a book whereas an iPhone XR is not ergonomically designed for their hands.Kids younger than 8 use iPads.
This is not a real problem.
Use an old iPhone or iPad.Was looking for news about the iPod touch. Not just for kids. I use it as a dedicated media player for streaming music to various speakers. It's a great little system for that use. If a new model is released, I'll order it right away.
