How did your steel bands hold up? Coming up on a year for most Day 1 owners. I had the silver X and it held up well. Lots of micro scratches but I knew I could always buff it. Something you cant do with the SG apparently. With the gold color releasing, I may switch it up, but worried about resale value/condition if it doesn't hold up. Can you all chime in? Also I go naked. I hate cases.
 
I have the X in space gray and it has hold up pretty good. Although in the summer I got sand between the case and the phone and the steel band got scratched. Keep in mind you can’t polish it like the silver. Also on the bottom where the speakers are it got scratched and you can see the raw steel. I might go silver or gold this time around.

That’s wit I’m concerned about the bottom. It gets the most friction. And seeing the raw steel sucks. I might go silver again.
 
I've had the SG X since I want to say early Oct last year and I just took a look at it. Couldn't see any scratches, but it's also always in a case so I would be surprised if there were any. Even checked around the Lightning port, which is likely the only area that would get any due to plugging it in to charge, but even there I can't see anything.

I'm pretty careful with my electronics though.
 
no case. looks like new, except for one little nick from when i let it fall to the floor.. ;)
 
Mine was flawless when I sold it last week, from launch day. It held up as well as the SBSS watch, which is to say it held up perfect.
 
leather case since launch and the whole phone still looks brand new. *knocks on wood*
 
Looks like I'll be going for a Space Gray XS then. Still pondering between 64GB and 256GB, currently have 21GB free on my 64GB 6S.
 
256GB.

Do yourself a favor and make sure you aren’t kicking yourself in the ass a year or two down the road because you have to start managing your storage.
 
SG has been great for me, I use an official case so the bottom is exposed and not even a hairline scratch is visible. I do keep good care of it though.

If you look in an Apple store, the solver ones always look worse off than SG.

Worried about how my gold XS will do though.

If you can afford it definitely get the 256GB
I got 64GB last year and I’be lost count how often ive had to delete stuff to accommodate other stuff
256GB without a doubt you wont regret it
 
Thanks guys! I feel better ordering the gold over the silver this year. I was worried the pvd coating wouldn’t hold up great.
