OK Folks, Sierra is official. Are you seeing any improvement or changes to eGPU functionality? Or do we have to wait for TB3 Macs?

I haven't ready about any improvements here, at tech inferno, or netkas yet. I'm currently waiting (but not too much longer) to see if this support ever comes to fruition. Specifically, I need multiple eGPU support to stay on the Mac.

To answer you directly, no, I haven't personally seen anything - and at about $6k for the solution I'm considering, I'll wait a bit longer.

Without Apple's blessings, eGPU on a Mac is not plug-n-play. As a matter of fact, eGPU in general is not that easy to use just yet. Lots of tinkering to make it work. Then more tinkering to keep it working.

I've tried multiple GPUs from both Nvidia and AMD. I honestly have better luck with Nvidia cards on Windows. No significant changes from El Cap to Sierra.
