I'd like to get a feel for how stable macOS 10.14 Mojave has become vs. High Sierra and Sierra. I'm still on Sierra, but would like to finally upgrade.
Is it more or less safe to upgrade now from the standpoint of stability and compatibility?
My 2nd concern is APFS. I understand that it's no longer an option to stay with HFS+, but if it works well, I'm not opposed to a change. I would, however, like to ensure that a change as drastic as the filesystem be positive, or at least neutral.
How about speed? I've long been wondering if I'm missing out on speed improvements with Mojave and/or APFS? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but starting with High Sierra, would I likely see speed improvements thanks to Metal being used in macOS? Not sure if I'm recalling this properly.
Thanks very much! I appreciate your input!
