Went to my local apple store. They said apple is no longer doing the annual upgrade program. He showed me the memo.

Phone rep repested the same thing.

I agree. It makes no sense, but that is what I was told in store, while they sign someone else up next to me for Verizon and another person for ATT

I was on the Apple Store around 3:03 AM as soon as I could get it load, and it seemed like there were ZERO in-store pickups available for both jet black and black in the entire NYC area.

Zero pickups available for T-Mobile for any of these variants in the Indiana Chicago Illinois area

I just find a lack of transparency to be annoying. I have no idea how this is going to affect current TMobile users on the upgrade program. But it should have been made clear that this was not available for new customers. I was up half the night, and then I wasted time driving to the Apple Store

I just came from the Apple Store and they have ZERO clue about anything. They pass the buck onto t-mobile saying it's their fault. Basically I was told they can not do anything for preorders in store currently because the product is not out yet and kept trying to direct me to use the app.

So in other words will probably have to try our luck on launch day :-/.

Currently own my 6 and not enrolled in the Apple upgrade program. Want to see value for my phone and if I'm eligible for the program. If not I'll go next door to T-Mobile

Well, they advertised all 4 carriers at the event. So, very strange for Apple Store staff to be saying that T-Mobile is no longer a part of the Apple Upgrade Program.

They aren't saying that T-mobile is not a part of the program. They are stating that online can not be done due to an issue on T-mobile's end. Until the phone comes out, it's full price or nothing.

Alright.

I was told no upgrade program period, but your answer sounds more reasonable.

It's unfortunate we can't pre-order. It really is.

Was told u have to come in launch day. They can enroll u if your with TM only if they have that phone in stock. Not in stock they can't do anything for u. They said it's due to TM and their account inventory system. Shame

I was told no, period. But I imagine that what you and the other poster are saying is more likely the correct answer.
