....wondering if there is anything i should be aware of before I load up 3.0 and attempt to JB with redsnow....

I thought I read somewhere a while back that I have to be careful not to lose 200MB of space....what was that about? And is there anything else I need to be aware of?

Thanks in advance, I will continue my research around this site as well.
 
Just restore to stock 3.0 first and then do the jailbreak. Also the most important thing is to "set up as new phone" do not choose "restore from backup". That will help avoid any problems.
