Hi all, I'm currently on iOS 6.1.2 and and am jailbroken (mainly for MyWi tethering). If I upgrade to iOS 7 Beta, would I still be able to downgrade back to the 6.1.2 jailbreak if I want, or would I be stuck on the iOS 7 track?
if you're on any device other than an iphone 4, then you will be stuck on iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 should you want to downgrade from the iOS 7 beta.
NOTE: You need COMPLETE SHSH blobs for iOS 6.1.2 in order to downgrade if you're on iphone 4. use ifaith to dump the shsh blobs if opening cydia --> TSS Center does NOT show iOS 6.1.2 shsh blobs at the top
I'm on an iPhone 5 running 6.1.2, and I saved my SHSH blobs with TinyUmbrella.
SHSH blobs are useless on the 4S and 5 at the moment. So once you update to iOS 7 beta, if you want to downgrade, your only option is iOS 6.1.4 and there is no way around it. No jailbreak of any kind as well on 6.1.3/6.1.4
And you have to open cydia and click TSS center to see if those are complete blobs. Tinyumbrella will download all blobs (both complete and incomplete ones)
I wish Cydia would just say, SORRY, YOU ON IPHONE 5, NOT GOING TO SAVE BLOBS.
The SHSH blobs maybe useful in the future though, should the jailbreak community find a way to downgrade back down to 6.1.2 or earlier.
To me, this would be the most important jailbreak event, as people would not fear accidently upgrading or having to take their phone in for repair.
