Cursor is frozen can anyone help please?

Hi as above the cursor on my MBA is frozen and I'm stuck for how to fix it. I tried to manually switch off but of course can't click on on the restart or shut down button. Any ideas anyone? Thank you

Have you tried holding down the physical power button on the keyboard until it shuts down?

Thank you Chupa I did try that before and it did t work. I just tried it again and this time it did. My pain. Is now over thanks again 🙂
