so i'm running a 2009 MBP 17" and this week did the data doubler operation - new SSD and HDD to the optical drive bay. i cloned my HDD to the SSD before erasing and now using for multimedia.

seemingly successful - OS and apps super zippy after moving to the SSD - but i have been noticing some cursor lag. it's definitely a glitch of sorts - it will freeze up for milliseconds at a time, often in a flutter. i can't really replicate the action, but it does tend to happen when i'm using chrome with multiple tabs. was never an issue on my 7200rpm HDD.

i'm not really versed in activity monitor so i'm struggling to determine if anything is sucking my resources when it's happening. is this where i should be looking?

FWIW, the computer does seem to be running a little hotter than before - the fans seem to be running more than they had before. istat also tells me that the CPU temp is reaching 80-82º.. i'm not sure what is was before.

anyone else experience this? it's annoying enough now and i'm sure even more so when i'm back drafting! thanks for any help.
