Custom Address Book Formats

I'm trying to change the format of phone numbers into the British way, so, when I try and do a custom number: 0#### ###### like it says to do, and yet, when I select it, nothing changes.

When I select a pre-made one, everything changes, but when I make my own, nothing.

Any help would be great.
