Custom app notifications coming soon?

Do you think apple will soon have custom apps in notification centre?
I think it's a great idea, for example showing latest scores from ESPN or sky sports.
I think there's a lot that can be done with it, just like stocks and weather is now.

Apple should just put up a widget store for the notification center and you can get what you want. ESPN scoreboard would be nice.
