Custom BootScreen for Bootcamp

Hey does anyone know how to customize the boot screen that is used to choose which OS to boot up on? I would like to change the boring hard drive icons that show up. I have seen it done before (on the iMac's at my university) but have not had any luck finding any info on how to do it on my own personal mac. I checked MRoogle, but unfortunately could not find anything. I would appreciate any info on how to customize the boot selection screen. If you have any info, please explain using simple terminology, I am a noob after all :😀

There is some customization available to you when using rEFIt. AFAIK, the images displayed when using Apple's boot selector are stored within the EFI and cannot be modified, or at least I don't know how to do it.
