Added my domain to iCloud… fiddly but got it working in the end. Great.
Now I want to transfer my emails from G Mail to iCloud. I use Apple Mail on my MacBook.

I have dragged the folders from GMail into iCloud which seems to have worked-ish. But emails aren’t showing on phone or web iCloud Mail client.
Will iCloud eventually sync emails across all devices. There is no way to upload mailboxes to iCloud.
Some folders have synced so perhaps iCloud will get to it eventually?
Any pointers?

Did you find any solution to this, just having the same issue trying to resolve this for a family member.

Very labour intensive but yes. I fixed it. You need a good connection, the web version if iCloud and patience. I ended up going it folder at a time and once I’d confirmed they’d uploaded to the iCloud web version I’d move on.

Then just open on phone or iPad and it syncs them all.

Thanks. My situation is a bit different. The email I want to sync from Gmail is only on their iPhone and it won't sync. They delete their Gmail account about a year ago. So I have their old Gmail folders in the Apple Mail app but can't seem to do anything to get them to syn with macOS.

Open a other window on Mail and drop the folders from the Gmail section to the iCloud section.

Moved all the old emails to a new icloud folder on the iPhone. The folder shows fine on the Mac but none of the emails are showing. Maybe it takes time but it has been 24 hours.
