On the iPhone ONLY 4.0/4.0.1/4.0.2 can be currently unlocked.

Custom firmwares are used to upgrade to the new firmware while saving the baseband.

Which iOS are you on? I have a custom iPhone 4.1 ipsw that I made.

Im under 4.1 😀 and I have 2 iPhone 4 need to be unlocked 🙁 can't be used 😎

Remember you can only go to 4.1 if you have the SHSH saved.

You can install one but if your phone has been upgraded to 4.1 you will not be able to unlock it.
